KeJa farms is seeking an individual who is a farmer at heart that has some experience as a machinist, mechanic or any other form of steel working skills. The position would be perfect for someone that is looking for a change from working 100% of the time on a shop floor and would like to have a long term career with a job that has much variety.
The best way to describe the job would be is
- Farmer - 20% of the time
- Equipment Operator - 30%
- mechanic - 20%
- welder and Machinist - 20%
- construction and maintenance the final 10% of the time.
Having a bit of knowledge in all sorts of fields is a asset but not necessary.
Seeking an individual that would like to work on our family farm and help grow many different crops like durum, lentils, chickpeas, canola and flax during the growing season. Then during the off season help in the maintenance of semis, tractors, combines, and all the other equipment that we use on our farm.
Our shop is fully tooled with machines like a CNC plasma table, CNC press brake, mill machine, drill press, pinch press, lathe and many other tools that help us build anything that we can think of and help maintain all of the equipment.
Our shop, yard and equipment is all very clean, well cared for and modern.
Seeking someone that has a great attitude, fun to be around and must be a team player. This job would be a great fit for a family who likes country living and the lifestyle that goes along with it. Hunting, snowmobiling and horses are a few of the fun things that are easy to do while living in southern Saskatchewan.
Wages will vary depending on experience and we do offer housing in both rural and urban settings depending on your preference.
